Have you always dreamed of saying your wedding on the top of a mountain? There is something I love about Colorado so I easily said "OF COURSE!!!" when my friend Kevin McIlwaine asked me to shoot with him in Vail, Colorado. Living in Colorado Angela and Eric are naturally outdoor nature lovers. Their plans for a summer outdoor wedding at the Vail Wedding Deck in Colorado was the perfect location to get married and celebrate with their family and friends. As if the snow-capped mountains and the sweeping views weren’t enough to make this the most epic wedding, the wedding was over the 4th of July weekend which is a great time to visit Vail. (Check out the grooms socks!)
Have you ever dreamt of having a destination wedding in the mountains with your closest friends and family? Matt and Jena planned their beautiful fall wedding in at Victory Lodge in June Lake which is around the Mammoth Lakes area. The venue set against the backdrop of my favorite Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Directly overlooking Gull Lake, with spectacular views of snow capped peaks. The decks and patios provide the perfect spot for savoring the spectacular view. This venue completely complimented Matt and Jena's style and warm personalities. It was perfectly them and I have major heart eyes for Jena who organized and planned her beautiful day!

One of the most special parts about being a San Diego outdoor family photographer is getting to experience the beautiful dynamic your little family has together. From behind my lens, my goal is to truly capture the essence of who you are as a family, in the most authentic was possible. No one needs to be perfect, they just need to be themselves!
Your family session is a collaboration between us, from start to finish. I'm always here to guide you and help you navigate all the little details, from the best clothes to wear to the best locations to choose. I spend time cultivating these trusting relationships with my clients through phone consultations, email, and office visits, because I care so much about your experience with me! These images are memories that will span decades of time, hanging in your home for your family and friends to see, and I'm eternally grateful to be part of that history.
As a San Diego outdoor family photographer, I primarily shoot just before sunset to capture that gorgeous fiery light I love so much! I love shooting in open fields, meadows, or hiking trails, because those backdrops translate beautifully in your photos! Of course, I'm always open to location suggestions from you if you have a special place you're interested in, but I'm also happy to share my treasure trove of locations that I've built up over the years.
For now, swoon over these stunning images from the Davis' family session! I know my little San Diego outdoor family photographer heart still is!
I first met this little cutie when she was only a few weeks old. She just turned one and I was delighted to photograph her birthday portraits! First birthdays are the perfect time for a professional portrait session; I adore photographing little ones at this age because who can resist those little fingers and first steps?! I captured this wonderful family at Coronado Beach it was so much fun to photograph her little beach adventure. Considering family photos? Contact me and reserve your session today.
When it came to planning their wedding, Joy and Bill wanted their wedding day to reflect them as a couple and most importantly to be with their closest friends and family. Kona Kai Resort and Spa made the perfect venue for a relaxed and casual San Diego beach wedding. We did a first look on the property which I LOVE, and their reactions were great! After the first look, we walked across to the bay, and they said their vows to each other in the company of their guests. For the reception Joy secretly booked their favorite band Todo Mundo to play, his reaction was priceless and so sweet. The hand painted signs were done by the bride and the flowers by a close friend. These two brought so much love and uniqueness to their perfect wedding day.
